2010 Rumor Thread: Super Den-O, W, and New Sentai

A rumor has just reported that the following series will be airing next year:

7:30 AM
"Toukon Sentai Resurinjya" (Fighting Spirit Taskforce Resurinjya)

8AM
"Kamen Rider Cho Den-O TV"

Other rumors maintain that the next, Kamen Rider is Kamen Rider W (Zwei), but this could easily follow Cho Den-O in a regular Kamen Rider premier spot (with an overlap happening, assuming they perhaps want Den-O as a short series like Decade.)

Cho Den-O could premiere in August/September, and air into February, and be replaced by W soon after.

Now there is very little supporting these rumors, so please take them with a grain of salt. It's still very early, but the fact that Decade is a short series sort of makes the rumors all the more possible, because planning would go on sooner, even for sentai.

Given the title "Kamen Rider Cho Den-O TV", we can assume, if the rumors are true, the series is probably something a little different than the norm.

I know that I'll probably get my ass chewed out for this, but hell even I am surprised that rumors are coming out THIS early... But I can kind of understand due to Decade only having 30 episodes with Chou Den-O taking up the remaining 15-20 episodes...

-W has an insect motif, most likely a grasshopper. He resembles Kikaider, in the sense that his right and left sides are differently colored. His right side is red, and his left side is green. Each side has a different character/personality.

-W is transformed from 2 people, who combine to form the rider. Their names are Shotarou and Phillip

-W's henshin device is a USB which is inserted into his belt to transform him. Has a gimmick known as the "Treasure Gaost" which allows him to change forms.

-Has the ability to change forms. These forms are activated by the "Joker Memories". USB keys that activate different forms. 3 of these forms are known as "Luna Joker", "Cyclone Joker" and "Heat Joker".

-Kamen Rider W Cyclone Joker is Black and Green in coloring.


-W transforms into Heat Joker in the Decade Movie.

-W has a both a motorcycle and a car.

-W aims to be the "Number 1 Rider" of the Second Half of Hesei Riders.


-Seems to have a relation to ShadowMoon. When Decade is cornered by him in the movie, W shows up to save him

-Keywords having to do with W are "Wind", "2 People" and "Clan"

-Broadcasting is rumored to start on 9/6

-8/15 to 8/23 have been listed as filming dates for the show


-His enemies are much closer to the sentai variety- a group of villains that stay a constant from the beginning of the series

I had a feeling that W would be a tech based Rider ala Faiz (since Den-O is a multiple Form Rider ala Kuuga, Kiva is an Arm armor Form Rider ala Agito and Decade has been a card Rider ala Ryuki and Blade)...

But I can already tell that Jaysen will scream bloody murder concerning W being a Form changing Rider... And 2 people becoming 1 Rider..? Is this going to be something like Den-O or that 1 Ultraman show in which a guy and a girl both become the main Ultraman of the show (in the first half of said show I mean)

Although... Calling the different forms Joker... I wonder what the catch it behind that though

-The "connection" that W may share with ShadowMoon is that he was created by him, or at the very least, DaiShocker. This would be interesting, because it'd be the first series in a while that was a sequel (if only an indirect one) of the past series

-Assuming that DaiShocker is "Decade's Last Trip", there are 3-4 weeks inbetween Decade and W's supposed start (Decade and Shinken are pre-empted on 6/21 for Golf) so it's possible the rumored "Decade Chapter 2" fills in the 3 weeks- maybe it's like an OVA or something.


-The filming dates listed are not starting filming dates, but merely dates the show is being filmed on.

Yeah true, but if it wasn't for black rx, none of the riders would have multiple forms at all. Kuuga had like 11 so everyone is sort of scaled down after that. Yes Den O had multiple forms but each form actually made sense and it was there for a reason >_> <_< Unlike most of them actually. Kiva...yeah wataru had enough with the arms monsters he didn't need emperor form or any of that stuff.

Yeah, Kuuga is still the worst offender when it comes to multiple forms (I'm not including Decade, since he's suppose to celebrate the past decade, so he gets a pass.) Kiva hardly used his other forms, and Den-O's were honestly more of a case of lumping multiple riders into one body and forming a team afterwards.

But bandai does need stuff to market nowadays and forms sell.

The main reason i'm against multi-forms is something always gets left in the cold. Let's look at Den-O. How many times did they use Rod, Gun and Axe vs Sword? Now if they did random switching in mid fight (kinda like the final fight) now that would have been something else.

Kiva's forms two out of three we're used the most. Bashaa was the out cast and hardly used.

If Bandai needs to sell something how about cracking out figures from the old shows! and the bikes!

License confirmation/sentai '10 rumor

The licenses are real, the pictures, probably not. They don't match the descriptions I've seen given, and they're shops of the magazine pic.


If it wasn't stated already, the title can be read as "Kamen Rider W" or "Kamen Rider Double".


As for the sentai '10 rumor, I bring our first insect rumor of the year, though this one is a bit more on the reliable side than others:


-A rumor posted states the motif for next year's sentai is "Insect + Train." The team, of 3, will have mecha that first appear as a train. The train cars can then split up, transform into insects, and recombine into the robot. This mecha idea has been compared to the Divers Team from Mightgaine.

-Insects that have been rumored to be used are a Beetle, a Mantis, and a Butterfly. Stag Beetle and Grasshopper were also mentioned. Arachnids, specifically spider and scorpion are rumored to act as auxilary mechs.

-There is a corresponding rumor that suggests each insect mecha has a spring-based weapon (for ex- a stag beetle's horns snapping forward.) There seems to be a suggestion that the mecha will be able to fight each other, playing on the old tradition of catching beetles and having them fight which inspired Pokemon, and a lot of other things.


Please take the above with a grain of salt. It's very early, though the main thread of the rumor (train + insect) seems to be a recurring bit of information, from a bunch of posts. The specifics may not be true at all, but I think there's a good chance that at least the motif has a shot at being proven true.

More rumors on Sentai '10

-To review, the one standing rumor right now is that of a bug/train sentai. Of course, this isn't too elaborate

-A group of interesting rumors has recently been posted, claiming the '10 sentai will have a "Science Fiction and Horror" theme, spefically, focusing on something in the ghost busters realm of things. A sentai team of paranormal investigators.

The rumor suggests the team's henshin devices as cameras, which take pictures of ghosts they investigate. The rangers would have "ally ghosts" whom they could make physical with the aid of the camera, making them into mecha. If the rumor is to be connected to another, these "ally ghosts" may in fact be different elementals/nature spirits.

-There is also some suggestion of a "cybernetic" influence, but, given that Kamen Rider W uses USB keys, I doubt it.



-The most interesting rumor right now is the one that's the most vague. There is a lot of educated guessing that since 2011's sentai, the 35th anniversary, will probably be a sentai celebrating the genre and going back to the basics, next year's sentai is very likely to be something on the strange side. Bugs and Ghosts certainly apply, as they are both new sentai themes.

The one thing suspect in the pic is that it shares 1 design quality with shinkenger, but, it could just be a repeat in the designs. Please take this with a large, heaping, grain of salt.

Some more info states that sentai, possibly due to decade's early finish and w's start, may be be starting production earlier than usual, with auditions possibly happening august/september.

-A new rumor has showed up that is quite interesting, involving the new team being a group of professional Monster-Taiji (Monster Hunters.) What's very interesting is that the rumor is fairly close to the ghost one, and it's possible that that rumored either spawned from, or evolved into this, as this one seems a little bit more plausible, as far as sentai is concerned.

-The rangers hunt down monsters who infest various places of the city. The monsters they fight can be captured, allowing the rangers to use the captured monster's powers.

-The team of 5 rangers will have already captured partner monsters before the series' beginning. These monsters are based on Legendary Beasts.

-By fighting with the other monsters, the rangers are able to seal them into medals, crystals and other such items. The monsters are then referred to as "Key Items", which activate different powers and weapons.




Take the above with a grain of salt, though it's really interesting, and it seems to be a natural progression from Shinkenger.

Very interesting rumor on staff. The only problem I see is that Tasaki is already directing W, but, given the time difference between Sentai and Rider now (when Sentai 2010 premiers, W should at least be done with a good bunch of its filming), he may be in a position to do it. (It's not like he's working for two different production companies, he's still reporting to the same people.)

What's interesting is, that if this rumor holds true, a Sentai staff is working on Kamen Rider, and a Kamen Rider staff is working for Sentai. They've all done both shows before, but it's just kind of interesting.

Hmmm... Interesting little rumor... With the rumor of Inoue writing next year's toku..? I for one am for it... I mean last time he wrote for Super Sentai was Jetman back in the 90's (some one please correct me if I am wrong here)... So him giving Sentai a try again after many Kamen Rider shows (Agito, Faiz, second half of Hibiki, Kiva, second half of Decade) would be nice... I hope that this rumor becomes true... From what seems to be the same reliable source that gave us early kiva, go-on, shinken and decade info, I just read that the next sentai will be using cards. However, "cards" will not simply be the motif.

Personally, from all I've read, I'd have to said the card motif will tie into the monster hunting motif, but we'll have to wait and see. More info as it comes.

-The suits used have similar attributes to the actual card suits, and the cards themselves are part of the Data Card Das gaming system.

-The rangers are able to grow their cards giant, turning them into their mecha. The mecha themselves resemble Hibiki's Disk Animals. I'm not sure if the rumor states that two of the mecha will be a Dragon and a Phoenix, or if the 5 mecha can unite to form a Dragon, or a Phoenix. The show will feature a gattai series as well.

-The rumored story is the following:
12 "Card Users" from another world come to Earth to invade it. However, 5 of them rebel against the others, instead deciding to save the Earth. Now, the 5-ranger Sentai must compete against the others to collect the 52 cards-of-magic scattered about the Earth...

-Pink, who seems to be the only girl in the group, is rumored to come from the same agency as Yamamoto Hikaru (Narumi Akiko of W). However, this bit of info is to be taken with an even greater grain of salt.

"Card Sentai" Mecha Rumors

For all those still wondering, the use of cards by the Sentai '10 is pretty much confirmed. Details, of course, are not. However, we do have this latest mecha rumor, which seems to be saying that the rangers' mecha/partners will be very much based on different archetypes of TCG monsters.

Red- Dragon (Western Style)

Blue- Mecha Monster

Yellow- Existing Animal


While Blue and Yellow are non-specific, many of the rumors have been claiming Red to be a dragon, though none of this rumor is anywhere near being confirmed. The card thing on the other hand, is pretty much a closed deal.

I'm not sure of the team member count, but this rumor of 3, opens up an interesting possibility. Even though the cards that are going to be used are supposed to be Data Cards, there's a chance the rangers themselves are based on the Ranger Strike categories.

Here we could potentially have:

Dragon (Mystic Arms)

Mecha Monster (Earth Technology)

Actual Animal (Wild Beast)


The villains, rumored as evil rangers, could be Dark Alliance, and the eventual 2 additional rangers could be Over Technology.

More Card Sentai Rumors

-Some of the cards themselves will not be of the same thickness as the Ganbaride Cards. They'll be a lot thicker, and will be able to play sounds by themselves, along the lines of the Enjin Souls and Gaia Memories. Some of the cards will either be the henshin devices, or activate them. Other cards, namely those showing the beast-mecha, will be more along the lines of the Ganbaride series.

-The core team will be of a 3 + 2 compositon (like Go-onger)

-The 3 team is composed of Red, Blue and Yellow. The secondary team is composed of Green and Pink.

-Green and pink's mecha are not known, but the 3-team seems to be composed of the following:
Red- Dragon (Temporary)
Blue- Unicorn
Yellow- A Bird

-The first robot will be Red's Dragon, which can transform into a robot on its own. The toy will go for 5,000 yen.

-Blue's Unicorn and Yellow's Bird will be able to gattai into a Pegasus. They will be sold as a set.

-The henshin series and mecha series will be compatible. The mecha are able to hold the corresponding cards of the rangers

-The 1st Robo (Dragon) and the Pegasus (Unicorn + Bird) will be able to unite into a bigger robot. This robot will have cards displayed on its chest and shoulders

-The rangers' gun weapon seems to be the card reader. It may be a bit pricey.

Okay... All I can say is this... Anyone up for a game of cards..? XD

Potential suit design. Again probably not the real deal

Registration for "Tenjou Sentai Goseiger". Tenjou means "heaven and earth" according to this search result (http://www.df.lth.se/cgi-bin/j-e/dosearch?sDict=on&H=PW&L=J&T=tenjou&WC=none&FG=r&BG=b&S=26) from a Japanese dictionary server (it's the fourth one down). And I think we all know what "gosei" means, because of a certain series that came out back in '93.

Edit: kinda screwed up a little, it's not "tenjou", it's "tensou", meaning heaven equipment if you want to go by Babel Fish. But since Babel Fish isn't the most accurate translation, click here (http://jisho.org/kanji/details/%E5%A4%A9%E8%A3%85) for a break down of the kanji that makes up "tensou". Though I think we probably all know what "ten" means after Shinkenger.

More Goseiger Rumors

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Red is the leader of a group of rangers, rebelling against the invasion forces of the home planet, (the other, villain rangers), which seek to conquer the Earth. He has been given "Earthling Blood" mysteriously.

-Blue and Red had originally fought for the title of leader, and Red won. There will be definite rivalry between them.

-Yellow has control over a "Pod/Base" which the rebels were able to escape to Earth in.

-Green is also a dissenter from the villains, but his reasons for doing so are less than positive.

-Pink is Red's twin sister, and also dissents from the villains.

-The rangers, besides Red, cannot exist in Earth's atmosphere for a long period of time, without transforming. They need to return to the "Pod" regularly. (Reminds me of Alien Rangers hehe.)

Hmm... For some reason I am thinking Flashman meets the Mighty Morphing Alien Rangers here...

I can see what you are refering to, and I agree about the Ohranger likeness, but the rumors did stated that the symbols would match the ESP cards psychic people use...

That, and IF the rumors are true, even concerning the helmets/symbols, then it would be a homage to Ohranger... I do believe that Toei throwing out homages to past sentais isn't anything new...

Like Red has gold trimming with Blue (and asuming Yellow if the first team is a 3 member team) having a silver trim on his suit... Not to mention, the suits kind of look wing like or something... Along with color coded visors, last time we had that was with Timeranger


Green's monster revealed

According to the latest rumors, Green will have a Cobra Monster. His Weapon will be a Cobra Rod. It is not known what Pink's monster is yet.

Red's monster seems to be called "SutsuDragon" (Suit Dragon)

Still not sure if the red and blue pics are legit, but, we'll see. If they are legit, there is a chance that some detailing will be added to them. (We had the same situation with Magiranger.)

-Following the new "fad" of recent years, and picking up from the creative design of Shinkenger's OriGami, Goseiger's monster-mechs will lay dormant in shape-forms. (Star, Square, Triangle, X, Circle.) When their respective card is instered, the mecha awaken.


For instance, demonstrated in the pic, when GoseiRed inserts his Dragon-Card into the the cardslot on his mecha, the sound "Go! Seiger Go! Go Go Dragon!!" is heard.


-The 5 piece gattai seems to have:
Red- Chest and Head
Green- Arms
Yellow- Waist
Blue- Right Leg
Pink- Left Leg

New Info:
It seems those who wanted a male yellow, may get their wish. Because of pink's rumored, split personality (ala Double, Vancuria), our 5 team, would actually be a 6-team, and so that's were the rumors got construed regarding 1 or 2 girls.
The existing rumor of the bird uniting with blue's unicorn still stands, only now the bird mecha has been changed to being pink's. We'll have to wait for more info, and an official pic of yellow though.

Tensou Beast Rumors/Cobra Ranger to be Black

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First things first. A heap of rumor updates suggests that a 6th ranger (Black) will be the one who will have the cobra motif. Sort of makes sense, seeing as how there are supposed to be a bunch of evil "rangers." A cobra makes a great make, but it makes an even better mecha for an antihero.


Okay, onto this new rumor. So, this rumor says that the rangers beasts will be called the "Tensou Beasts", and of course, their cards are the "Tensou Beast Cards."

Here is the rumored laist of our core rangers' beasts:

Red- Tensou HotDragon (Dragon)

Blue- Tensou IceHorse (Horse, according to rumors, a unicorn)

Yellow- Tensou ShiningHeron (Heron, matching the rumors of a bird)

Green- Tensou GardenGiraffe (Kirin)

Pink- Tensou SuperFox (Fox/Kitsune)

The poster described Super Fox as being similar to GingaPink's Gingatto.

He just looks awesome. Like I say on the blog, the best thing is that the belt buckle matches red, blue and yellow.

There's a good chance that Sungel's shops of Green and Yellow were really close to the actual pics, so the poster opted not to post them, and decided to post villains instead. Fine with me, cause GoseiBlack looks like he's gonna be my favorite.

I do like how he looks should be interesting to see thats for sure.

More Goseiger Rumors (mostly GoseiBlack)

-The 5 Goseiger and GoseiBlack have a similar Henshin Device

-GoseiBlack's weapon is called the "Viper Bute", a whip and sword. (We've seen him pictured with it.)

-The 5 Goseiger's monster beasts combine to form "GoseiOh"

-GoseiOh and Black's Cobra Monster can unite, with the Viper switching out for GoseiOh's right arm

-GoseiBlack starts out as Red's rival.

-GoseiBlack's robo, AnkokuOh, is formed from the Cobra Monster (Black) and a Wild Boar Monster (Navy Blue.) The Cobra becomes the upper-body and head, while the Boar becomes the back and lower body. AnkokuOh is said to resemble SaiDaiOh.

A boar mecha..? I know that there were plans for one in Gaoranger, but if this rumor is true... WHAHOOO!!!

I agree with Jaysen, a definate Ohranger/ZEO vibe... Which is a good thing IMO, especially since ZEO is one of the best (or better) seasons of PR

And I just can not say (or drool) enough times on just how AWESOME Gosei Black looks like... I mean he looks fuckin' BADASS! Not to mention a bit Egyptian with that snake on top of his helmet... Even though his visor kind of look like the visor of Ginga Green/Green Galaxy Ranger
