In light of the utter failure of Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, I am going to write my own adaptation of a Kamen Rider series. I'd love to submit it to Adness, but I doubt they'd even look at it. SO, this is just for my own enjoyment and the enjoyment of the fandom. I really think that we could do SO much better than Dragon Knight. So, onto the question. Which should I adapt - Faiz or Blade?

I'll be posting this at RB and HJU as well to get a larger sample of the community, but the votes here count the most because I trust you all more.

Faiz. I could just see an adaption of Faiz standing a better chance with American audiences

Well everyone on HJU is saying Faiz - no one's showing any love for Blade. I'd just love to adapt Chalice eventually. That's the main reason I'd want to do Blade. Chalice is, hands down, my favorite rider of all time. Then again, Faiz is the series that got me into Kamen Rider so that's why I came to ask advice. See what the fandom would rather see next.

Don't get me wrong, I'd take Blade over Faiz anyday. I just think Faiz would be an easier transition, with its theme being technological.

The hardest thing to figure out and make it believable is how to work in the correct call. I WILL NOT use "Kamen Rider" for the call. I refuse! I will be using "Henshin!" It's only right! :) I have an idea, but I'm just not sure if it would work or not.

Faiz. :) Maybe even Kabuto.

Try 'Rider Change' for the henshin call, btw. :D

That's a possibility. It might be a little too corny though. I'll consider it. Thanks for your input!

Honestly I think Blade would work. Granted both would but I personally say Blade.

Well... As much as I love Blade (Chalice fan here), I had to vote for Faiz for the technology aspect which should be a lot easier to adapt, plus it also gives a good story idea of having the 3 Riders being cyborgs fighting against the organization that both created them and the Orphenochs (kind of like a nod to the Showa era)

As for the transformation call, "Rider Change" would fit better then "Henshin" since it basically means the same way... Plus it was used by the phillipians (the Island, not the state/city) who dubbed series like Kamen Rider Black in which Black would say Rider Change instead of Henshin... Sure it may sound corny, but it works better for the American/European audience then using either Henshin or Kamen Rider...

However I have to disagree with you concerning Kamen Rider Dragon Knight being a failure Matt... Now I will admit that the show has flaws, but let's look at MMPR Season 1, it has flaws from here to Tokyo as well... Plus like MMPR s1, KRDK is using a different storyline compared to Ryuki... Not to mention it is still new, it has to literally fight to win a place in people's hearts without being a PR clone like Saban's Masked Rider was... Plus both the writers AND the actors of the show has been saying that the show gets better later on and that the acting becomes better as well... But I'll be honest and say that they should get rid of that slow-mo garbage (Damn you Matrix!)

but yeah, back on subject... As much as I love Blade, I had to go with Faiz for the technology aspect being much better for to adapt it... That and IF you are keeping the Orphenoch like monsters without a human form, I might be able to do some VA work for some of them XD

Plus, I want to see a bad ass American made Kaixa ^_^

So bring on Kamen Rider 555

I just started watching Blade so I wouldn't know if I love it or hate it (3 episodes in).

Filipinos, mind. :) Yeah, it was here where I came from that they substituted 'Henshin' for 'Rider Change'. OR, you could take a leaf from Decade's book and make it 'Kamen Ride'...? *I just hope those reading it would be able to pronounce it properly*

Seriously though, DK's henshin call makes my ears bleed. ><

No, it's fine. :D

But yeah, Faiz is easier to adapt. Besides, the Undead being sealed into cards shtick is a bit of a handful to explain. Whereas with the origin of Orphenochs and Smart Brain, you could just cut-and-paste the whole thing from the source material.

555/Faiz, where 315 Psyga and the Autobot Autovajin are found.
Nothing beats the English speaking Kamen Rider in terms of badassery in language and the Smart Brain made Autobot Autovajin. I like TRANSFORMERS!

Faiz would definitely work for an american adaptation in my opinion. But Blade would be cool too.
