My heart is thumping in utter panic, I cannot see a thing. I am holding something in my right hand but for the life of me cannot figure out what it is yet? Darkness surrounds me. Perhaps my eyes have been permanently blinded without my realisation. Have I really been blinded throughout my life or am I just dreaming?
I feel the object in my hand and press a button, I hear a static then soon afterwards, a voice.
“Hello Nathan...”
How the fuck does this person know my name?

Without moving my eyes, I tried to stand up in complete darkness. I had a funny feeling that whoever stole me from my apartment last night, he or she stitched up both of my eyes completely shut. When attempting to stand up, I find myself falling back down onto the cold damp concrete floor...I kept thinking to myself 'shit'.
“...All your life, you have been an eye witness to many crimes that you may have not committed. Without telling anyone, you allow yourself to move away from the crime and completely forget about it...”
Stunned from what I just heard, I froze and continued to listen to the tape in it's entirely.
“...now I am giving you a second chance. Your eyes are blinded by doings so you will have to find the keys on your own to escape...”
'Keys...what keys?' I kept thinking.
"...find the keys and you will be free."
The tape stopped. I threw the tape recorder as far as I could and allowed my arms to hover above the ground, feeling for this key mentioned in the cassette. I stopped and felt something. A boot maybe? I feel someone's breath blowing in my ear.
“Live or die Nate, the choice is yours!”
I hear a sharp electronic beep behind me and a noise of gears rapidly clicking together in a matter of seconds. It dawned on me that my life is utterly fucked. In an instant, death and the devil is now my new soul mate.
