Naruto rocks!! i'm just getting into this series I really like the action I mean when you look at it naruto looks dumb but once you get into it and watch it you fall in love with the characters and the storylines. Naruto the character is a tad annoying and he reminds me of Goku when he was young at times but he has his moments where he becomes something great namely when he activates his rage.

I love Naruto anime, both sub and dub. They both have such an amazing voice cast and fit perfectly to the character. I'm currently on the new arc of Naruto called Shippuuden, where their all 2 years older ^_^.

Well I don't know about anyone else but i'm on Shippuuden so spoilers ahead...

We're well into Naruto's training for his new Rasengen but I guess that got side tracked because of bigger plot/fight over the last few weeks. I must say it's been a ride to say the least with the loss of Asuma. :( And next week will be just as depressing.... but he'll live on in all of us... ;_;

I watch the anime. I'd read the maga it I didn't have the attention span of a gnat or knew where to at least skim them.

I am on Volume 6 of the manga. I haven't read it yet but it is in my stock. I watch the dub on CN. I love Naruto. The fillers are actually good whereas the Bleach fillers have me wanting to kick the crap out of my television.

I haven't made it to Shippuuden yet but I know what is going in the manga version of it. :(

They are completely different. Though they might share a thing or two in common. I read the magna and watch the dub and sub. Yeah...I'm a Naruto freak. XD

Yeah Naruto is most likely as popular as DBZ. It's got a huge fanbase, and it keeps growing since it's getting dubbed now aswell.

I think some say that because they mean that Naruto will get as big as DBZ did in its time, so in that sense if that happens it will be this generations DBZ. DBZ was big and I would love for Naruto to achieve that greatness if not surpass it. :nod:

That's pretty much why DB/DBZ is popular. Naruto hasn't had 20 years on TV and it's just now reaching the masses.

Naruto has got the chance to keep going for a long time. But as long as they keep bringing in new arcs/characters, it could last for quite a while. But since it's called ''Naruto'' After the main character, it won't be the same if he left or anything.

That's true Tiz. But if they had a strong enough cast/story enough to set it apart of Naruto I'd think it would be alright.

And I dunno, sure the world of Naruto is expansive and all, but (leave it to the guy who decided to get far ahead of everyone). . .

A great deal of the story revolves around Naruto himself, perhaps even more so than Dragon Ball and Goku.

Most Spin-offs are going to have to point to what goes on with Naruto's current stuggle and ultimate goal.

They've almost finished the first series of Naruto, and they are coming up to the time skip series called ''Shippuuden''. There's 220 episodes in the first series and their on 201 now.

Either I got used to it or the va of Naruto got a lot better; maybe it is a combination of the two. I really think that at least he will get a new va. The awful screechy voice that he has now will not fit a teenager.

It's possible for the Dub, I know they keep the same Seiyuu in the source footage (Japanese Dub or whatever you want to call it), but the Japanese also don't seem mind that as much as English speakers tend to.


I hardly watch the dub myself. Mostly cause I just don't watch much TV this side of the Pacific nowadays (And I only really watch the Superhero Tokusastu shows and that's not really a lot either). I have watched a couple episodes past the whole Chunnin Exams (Which now that I think about, is the bulk of the Naruto Manga before the timeskip). oh and course the few Animes I do watch, and I don't cheat by reading ahead.


If they do change the VA, I hope they try to match the voice to the younger VA. Having someone like JYB won't do at all.

I think they picked the voice they did is because the person's voice sounds like it is in the middle of puberty so I would be content with any kind of voice. I don't think I want JYB to be the va for Naruto either. His voice is showing up everywhere.

I should get my named changed to Hinata Hyuuga.

i used to like naruto, but with all the fillers, made me loose interest...whenever i do watch it, i'm either watching a filler, or an episode with nothing but dialog, which tends to get boring....

I dislike naruto's VA mainly b/c it's a fat, woman, who does his younger voice...i want a manly guy to do his voice for the dubbed especially during the shippuuden...

i haven't watched this show in a long time mainly i've been busy and now since CN took Toonami off, i can't watch any anime anymore...

Like Tiz said, i wouldn't mind seeing the Kakashi Gaiden either a movie or animated...Kakashi was always my fave for some reason, but it seems like the author didn't want to develop him more...which is a shame b/c he is a great character. After the Chuunin Exams, it seems like he wasn't much of a character anymore since we hardly got to see him. or when we did, it was for a split second. During the first arc, Kakashi had a major role, being developed, but then that was it. It's like he just feel off the face of the planet. I want more of Kakashi DAMN IT!!!

If you aren't keeping up with the manga and if you are not a shipper, you might not want to read this.
I am guilty of reading the spoilers ahead of the chapter I am in. The chapters of this week was too much for me to ignore so I read the chapter. OMG, No one was helping Naruto in his battle against Pein and out of no where, apparently wanting to be dead rather that watch Naruto be hurt, Hinata jumps into the battle. Naruto is trying to get her to save herself and asking why she would do this. She confessed her love for him and you should have seen his face to realization. Then she attacked Pein with a new powerful jutsu but he was too strong. Now it is a waiting game to see if she is dead or alive. Naruto is pissed and went to another level of the nine-tailed fox. He believes she is dead.
Now me personally, I think this is another moment when Naruto thought Sasuke was dead by needles and he went all demon form and kicked ass but Sasuke was not dead. If she is dead, she protected Naruto with all the power in her being and he will be forever changed by that.
"I am not afraid to die protecting you."
Hinata-chan had her time to shine for him and I am sooo happy.

Oh, I am collecting the manga. I am no where near this actual chapter though(my funds don't allow me to just buy them as quick as I want to buy them), but I always check the spoilers just to see what is going on. I have to know what is going on. Control Freak!

Hinata is my favorite character, followed closely by Naruto and Rock Lee so I always look for news about Hinata and Rock Lee more so than other characters because they impressed me the most and I want them to get their time to shine.

*Here's hoping Rock shows up now too and here's hoping this ends good for Hinata*

I follow the Manga and have done for a while and In my opinion:
I can't belive they've now brought SAMURAI into it, I mean, fair enough there was the whole ninja vs Samurai thing going on in japanese history but COME ON!!! really disapointed by that, however I am looking forward to sasuke vs naruto, that will be cool.

WELP! The Adventures at sea arc has FINALLY ended and Naruto has landed on paradise island to begin his nine tails control training! It was a pretty good ep. Deja Vu with naruto fighting his dark self much like Ichigo did with his visored training and the outcome is the same both controlling the inner hollow and kyuubi respectively, but anyway... Yeah can't wait to see more and also that beautiful beautiful form Nine tails chakra mode!

Also I just love killer b he is so funny! >_> Also XD at naruto trying to rap like him! Oh how I missed this show. >_>

So very good to have caught up and be out of filler land (for the moment). Now Naruto has started his training and it's awesome to see Dark/True Naruto and the real one duke it out! Of course Nine Tails likes dark Naruto better, because cause all he is, is hate, but anyway nice start to the arc!!

This arc now, and the Fourth Shinobi World War arc that's coming next are two of the best (for me) arcs of the whole of Shippuden. Lots of action, and you get to learn the histories of many of the characters. The Naruto vs Nine Tails fight will be epic on a whole new level. Can't wait to see him meet his mother.

I can't remember the episode number. I just remember they had just helped Sakura get medicinal plants and stuff on one island then in a episode soon after that one they starting going crazy because of this mushroom they brought onto the ship for food.

I knew as important as this part is, it was going to have filler!! -_- Cute episode but I find it funny that in the next episode she said "we're running out of time" and were getting their life story!!!! If you told him about his birth THEN did the seal you'd have more time to talk about whatever! -_- Ranting over!

Nice 40 second fight for what it was.... So was saw his mom and she talks like it does! XD And her temper, and he got her drive to be Hokage! Make it happen! I would say it all goes down next week, but it doesn't seem like it. Anywho good episode for what it was.
