So for myself, I somehow managed to sustain a small concussion last night at my event, so I'll probably be out of commission for the rest of the day, and possibly a little loopy for the next few, just be patient with me lol.

Well, continuing my absence (yeah I'm not really here that often, am I? woops...)-

I'll be gone from March 15th through March 24th, because it's spring break from college. No I'm not going to Mexico and getting drunk. I'm working/going in for job interviews. My husband will be with me (so I'm excited for that, because we haven't seen each other in over a month), and we'll be chilling and I'll be losing some weight because college food sucks.

When that happens to me if the internet connection keeps reconnecting for no reason when its actually fine or if certain websites are not loading (when they are actually working fine)....I just restart my computer and then its fine. Happens to other people too.

Passed out (once at home, then again in the Hospital waiting room) on Saturday night. Turns out my hemoglobin (blood count) was extremely low and I needed a blood transfusion.

They released me today but still want me to come back soon for more tests to find out just how it all happened.

For those of you who don't know my grandma has been living with us for the last 3 years for she was very ill, a few nights ago her bloodsuger crashed and we had to take her to the hospital... Her kidneys have failed completely now and the doctors only give her a few days to live.

My family and I are going through a tough time and are trying to make her last days as comfertable as possible. I just asked you all who are believers to please pray her her and my family and those who arn't to please just keep us in mind. I thank you all very much...

Grams passed yesturday morning at 9:30am with my mother and I by her side which she was asleep or in a sleep state as she had been that way for two days and the nurses said she could still hear us.

Again thank you, I will be in and out for a while I think, it's not over yet as we still got the memorial and the cremation to deal with... Mom's taking it the hardest but she thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers as well as I do.

I have closed my shop for a little while and I may not be here all that much. I am starting my externship Wednesday and it will leave me little time for outside things. I get my badge and stuff Tuesday. This is going to be kind of hard for me and for a time I a temporarily dropping things that are important to me (mourns videogames, being lazy, television, surfing the net, etc). I'll pretty much leave home at 4:00 a.m. to get there on time and I will get home at 4:00 p.m. I am excited. Here's hoping it works out.

I thought I better give you guys the heads up:

There is this site I went to watch some tv show episodes (been catching up on Two and a Half Men) a week ago or so (not doing that anymore as I"m downloading the episodes instead) called surfthechannel.com.

Last week sometime, I started to get pop up windows which comes from that site when I'm not even there, it never did that before since I discovered the site back in August...it just started doing that. My friend suggested I download SpyBot to take care of the problem but that didn't help at all so I'm gonna have to have my friend take my computer to try and fix the problem but its better to have it rebooted entirely. He always back ups everything before he does that.

I sent a message to him on Facebook if he want to take it and get that problem taken care of so I'm just waiting for a reply. Not sure when he would take it, when he does...you know what that means, absense without a computer for a week (he can get it done in a few days or a week).

Edit: My friend said he is going to check it out when he comes home during the christmas break and take it to his house (his house is just 2 mins away from my house by walk lol) and he woulod restart the system. My absense will be short then lol

Well, the reason as to why leaving the board is a bit dumb, I will not go overboard or try to talk you out of it Ice, just hoping that you'll stop by from time to time which would be nice.

And Shad is correct Dan, I allow Ice to call me Yami (just like I allow Nicole to call me Karasu) since she has a hard time to remember the way you type my name so it is cool with me that she calls me Yami.

The simple fact is that Fusion is dying, and people leaving because of no shoutbox is a symptom of that. To them, and probably others, the shoutbox is what kept them coming back, and with it gone, so are they. Granted, Ice held on a bit more, but she eventually quit, and I have a feeling that she won't be the last. I've seen this before, back on Ranger-Power when only the spam forum kept the place alive, and when that was taken away, people left and the board faded away. Same thing happened with Blue Power Zone.

The forums here aren't all that active, are they? A few posts a day in most of them, but that's it. I mean, hell, the RPG forum hasn't had a post since August 23rd.

Now, I'm not saying this is anyone's fault here, oh no, but another fact is that there are a LOT of tokusatsu-based forums out there, and there are three big ones who are only competition for each other. Henshin Justice Unlimited, RangerBoard and, I hate to say this, RangerTalk. If any Tokusatsu board can rise up and compete with them, I'm al
l for it. I'm all for it being Fusion, and to do that, we need people, we need activity, and we need to look in a new direction to get these people.

So my point really is, we can save Fusion. All we need to do is put our heads together and come up with new ways to get more people because if things keep going the way they are, well, I'm sure you all know the outcome. I know I'm not alone when I say that I'm not going to be one of those who leave, but if this place does fall victim to inactivity, I'm staying until I'm either the last one, until Fusion falls completely or, in the case that Fusion does rise up, until another reason somewhere down the line forces me to leave.

And yeah, Shad has some good points. We both watched Ranger-Power die a slow, painful death, and I'd hate to see it happen to this board. I used to come here mostly to talk in the shoutbox, and now I've moved on to the spam forum. I should post other places, but don't really. But I guess if our server isn't very good, we can't have a shoutbox. Of course, Martin offered to let us use his server for cheap, but that was ignored...oh well.

We definately need to find a way to get more people here. This board has worked so far because we're a small group of friends who talk with each other, but apparently that's not enough anymore. I bet if we all brainstorm and try to think of some ways to get new members, we can come up with something. Let's save our board, guys! :abakill

But I do agree however that we ALL (staff and members alike) need to bring our heads together and think up something to get this place as active as ever again...

As for the server, well if I remember correctly, the time that Martin offered his server, we were still on Mike's server before getting kicked off earlier this year (or before the whole server crashed and killed the board the first time around)...

I really have no problem with people leaving, honestly I don't. If you're just taking up space and don't feel like you belong here anymore or because you're not into the fandom anymore, that's fine. But leaving because the shout no longer exists? Can I ask if there was ever really a point in joining then? There's MSN, AOL, Skype, Yahoo and numerous other things that can substitute for the shout being gone... But hey, by all means, who am I to judge?

Like Tiz said, it's a little difficult to try and expect the Admin's to do ANYTHING when we barely have anyone posting (In case nobody got the memo, there's a handful of people who AREN'T staff that post in threads... Other then that, it's the Staff). Shocking right? That we need members to actually POST things... Novel idea, I know.

Problem is, there are some people that just expect the staff to do all the work...It's a little difficult when you have some part-time staff (Who have work commitments, school priorities, etc) and only a few people around at a time to get things done. We're normal, average people...Don't expect miracles overnight folks.

If anyone has more ideas as to how we can keep the board more active, we're always willing to hear them. We ENJOY feedback, shocking as that sounds...

A board is only as active as it's members are... The less active the members, the less active the board.

Whatever, that's just my two cents

I thought I better give you guys the heads up...the pop up windows are back (they stopped coming and told my friend there wasn't need for a reboot...but, should have just had it done then anyways when he came home for the holidays...didn't think they would come back, but they did).

My Mom is going to take my computer (tower) into the city on Monday to meet my friend somewhere who will pick it up and take it to the school he works at to get it rebooted and all that. I won't be long without it like last year...only be without it for a week so I'll get it by next weekend.

Hey guys,

I'm using a proxy to get online here. I'm having some very difficult problems accessing the board. Yesterday, every time I tried to come on I got a "Page Load Error" on Firefox and the evil "Internet Explorer cannot find the webpage" on IE. Today, I get a Network Timeout Page Load Error and a "Oops! We can't find the webpage you're looking for" on IE.
As I understand, I'm the only one having these problems. I disabled my Firewall and antivirus, rebooted my computer and internet and even tried a System Restore to a point before this happened, all to no avail.

This is going to be a highly ironic post, so please don't laugh at me...coming out of Easter services this morning, I backed my car out, and was driving out of the parking lot, when some dumbass who doesn't know the laws of traffic hit me head-on at 45 mph. Good news is me/my car is not dead and/or seriously injured; the bad news? I'm in the hospital til at least Thursday, with multiple bruises and cuts, and a broken leg. So I will be out of commission for a few days. Hope everyone has a great week!
