Kabuto: ZECT Chronicles
City: Breaker Bay, California
Year: 2008
Story: About 20,000 years ago a meteor had struck the Earth releasing a group of alien called Worm. Most of these worm wanted to live in peace with the humans, so they basically too over bodies of those who died too early. The humans from then had labeled these worm as Native Worm. These Native were able to survive and breed more worm over the next 20,000 years. Now most of these worms had plans of living with the humans, but some of them were intending to kill the humans so they could take over the Earth. These worm weren’t killed, but they did start to kidnap and kill several humans to take their bodies, and begin their plot. However most humans were able to fight off these worm by forming a militia group called ZECT with the Native Worm that actually wanted eternal peace with the humans.
However in 2001 a meteor had struck the desert just outside of Breaker Bay California, releasing a bunch more worm, but this group of worm seemed to be far worse than the group that wanted the humans to be killed and not kidnapped. This group of Worm had no intentions of settling with the humans or the Native, their plans included the complete destruction of humanity and the native worm. The Queen Insect was known as the evil Ucaworm, and she had plans to become the virus that brought Earth to its knees. ZECT had tried to fight these worm off, but were beaten badly by them. Nobody from around the world really knew what to do about these worm, not even the native. But ZECT had managed to make powerful weapons that only the best people only knew how to use. These people had became known as Shadow, ZECT Headquarters best soliders were able to stop the native worm that attacked, but they were only able to stop the worm henchmen, not the actual worm. The More powerful worm still beaten the Shadow troops to the brink of destruction.
But ZECT wouldn’t stop and they had began to create these new weapons in hope of beating these new creatures and saving Breaker Bay from Ucaworm. These weapons were called Zecter, and there power had surpassed the guns that Shadow used. Kabuto was the first Zecter and it’s host was to be a dude named Josh Stevens, but it turned out to be a failed attempt as the Zecter managed to find it’s way to a new guy, one named Jaden Forester, a man kicked out of ZECT for not being able to control his weapon during battle with a worm.
Will ZECT Be able to get the Kabuto Zecter back and stop the Worm, or will Jaden keep the Zecter, find out in Kabuto: The ZECT Chronicles!

Chapter 1: The Rider Within
“Jaden, you there?” A loud voice echoed through a room inside of a big mansion. “This guy has more money than I can think of ever having.” The young man with brown hair said to himself as he walked around the large foyer eventually breaking a large vase while waiting. The guy thought to himself as he walked around still waiting on Jaden.
“So Shawn, what is it that you want?” Jaden said as he walked down stairs with a sword. Jaden seriously didn’t look in the mood to play around with the pathetic other person.
“Are you headed to that party for Laura?” The young man with short brown hair asked with contempt in his eyes, as if he knew Jaden’s answer to him.
“I might, but what if I don’t feel like it?” Jaden replied rhetorically as he put his sword and finished walking down stairs to see the broken vase. “You do know you have to replace that two thousand dollar vase now right?” Jaden had begun to circle around Shawn in anger and disappointment.
“I will have ZECT send a check, but you need to loosen up Jade!” Shawn snapped as he turned and left. “Damn him!” Shawn thought to himself as he closed the door to Jaden’s place behind him. “The guy has an ego you can’t like.” Shawn walked away from the place only to get a phone call. Shawn picked up the phone and said “Hello, Shawn here.”
“Shawn, get to the corner of 5th and Tower!” A young man said as he turned on a car. “We have a Worm sighting. I will pick you up!”
“Alright Josh, any word on what type of worm it is?” Shawn asked Josh as he climbed in his Toyota Corolla and turned on the engine.
“There is no confirmation of what type of worm it is, all I know is that it’s a worm.” Josh told Shawn as he drove the van with all technology that he knew could investigate with to the point where the worm was seen.
“Hey Josh, what’s going on?” Shawn asked his friend and commanding officer, whose full name was Josh Stevens.
“The worm, it’s over there.” A young female said as she handed Shawn a special pair of Binoculars. “Shawn, we can’t kill the worm without the rider system, but the problem is it’s not active yet.” The girl added as she took the headphones back from Shawn and began to look through them again. But something about this worm was a miss because it was starting to crack from the inside out, but the humans couldn’t strike so they just drove away. Leaving Shawn’s car to stew in a parking garage.
As Josh drove away from that area, a stupid question came out of the girls mouth. “Did you ask Jaden to come to my party?” It seemed obvious that the girl was Laura. Shawn, Josh and Jaden’s good friend.
“I did, but I’m not sure if he will attend it or not.” Shawn replied to Laura’s question with some good intentions, but it seemingly made Laura disappointed that her friend didn’t feel like attending.
“Come on Laura, It’s Jaden.” Josh laughed as he continued to drive the van back to their base of operations while not on ZECT duty. “Jaden’s never promised to visit your parties, he’s always just attended.”
~Back at Jaden’s house~
“So Jaden, what are cooking?” an seemingly older man asked the young blonde haired manstanding in front of the stove “I ask because it smells delectable.”
“It’s a Shrimp Fettuccini.” Jaden replied hastily as he grabbed the strainer of shrimp from the boiling water and poured it into a skillet. “This is going to be good,.” Jaden thought as he continued to pan fry the already steamed shrimp. Just as he finished pouring the shrimp Jaden heard a knock at his door.
“Jaden, I’m going to kill you!” Laura screamed in a joking form of anger as she walked in and grabbed Jaden by the ear and started to drag him around to his room. “How dare you say no to my Party!”
“Ouch, Laura!” Jaden screamed as he held his ear in pain. “Damn you sure know how to hurt a guy!” Jaden still held his ear in pain as he sat down on his bed.
“Your going, I demand it Jade!” Laura laughed as she sat down next to him. Just as Laura sat down, an alarm had went off on her beeper. “Sorry Jade, we can’t stay long.” Laura ran out of his room only to be caught by Josh and Shawn. “We have to go, that worm we were investigating, it’s attacked humans!”
“What?!” Shawn yelled loudly as he got in the van and prepared a blaster. “He’s going to get it!” SHawn thought as he put the ammo in. Shawn then reached down and grabbed a briefcase and opened it. “It may not be ready, but Josh. It’s time for you use the Kabuto Zecter!” Shawn then threw the belt to Josh, who then put it on.
“Thanks Shawn!” Josh screamed as he put the belt on. “This oughta work!” once arriving to the scene where the attacks have been happening.
“Hey Josh, the subspecies of worm that attacked them is Aracneaworm, and The type is Rubor!” Laura screamed in a world of confidence as she witnessed Josh run out to fight the creature.
“Right!” Josh said as he walked towards the worm seemingly ready for a fight. “Come on you damn worm.” Josh had charged the worm and tried to kick it, but the worm had grabbed the leg of Josh and sent him flying towards a wall, thus knocking him unconscious. Shawn had ran out and put on the belt hoping to get some reaction from the Zecter but to no avail.
However at Jaden’s house the belt, he had started to go off like crazy. “Huh, what’s going on?” Jaden asked himself as he looked at the belt he had. The Belt had began to emit Tachyon Energy, thus bringing the belt to life and awakening the Kabuto Zecter. “Hey Dad, I will be back!” Jaden had ran out to his bike and climbed on it.
Upon arriving at the fight scene Jaden seen the worm and what appeared to be Shawn trying to call something from nowhere. Jaden then began to climb to the top of a water tower. And with every climb the sun seemingly gotten brighter. Jaden had then managed to make it to the top to watch the fight. Go down. While looking a small portal opened releasing what looked like a Red Hercules Beetle. “What is that?” Jaden thought as he watched it tease Shawn, only to end up in his hand. Soon all knowledge of the Zecter wound up in his head.
“Who are you?” Shawn screamed at Jaden “The sun is too bright!” Shawn struggled to see the warrior who was about to save him.
“I am the Sun!” Jaden screamed as he held the Zecter in his right hand. Jaden had then put the Zecter in his belt and screamed “Initiate!” A grid had covered Jaden’s entire body only to become clad in a Red and Silver Armor. The sun had then started to dim down to where the Worm and Kabuto could fight.
“Shawn, get out of there!” Laura screamed in horror as she seen Kabuto and the Worm standing face to face. “Those two are going to tear each other apart!” Laura had then jumped in the drivers seat and turned on the engine.
Shawn ran to the wall where Josh was knocked out at and carried him to the van. “Hey wake up!” Shawn had slapped Josh a few times to awaken him once in the van. “Hey Josh, that Rider Project’s a success, the only problem is that the rider is neither you or I.” Shawn then opened a bag which instantly cooled and placed it on Joshes head.
“How is it possible?” Josh asked Shawn as he held the ice pack on his head. “We are the only two who had access to a Rider Belt!”
Jaden had began to attack the vicious worm with several punches, most seeming to land right on target. “Come on, I know you have some fight in you!” Jaden screamed as he kicked the Worm away. “Show me your strength!”
“The guy sounded like……. Jaden!” Shawn screamed as he realized who the voice really was. “Laura turn the van around!” Shawn looked out the window and seen Jaden fighting the monster.
The worm had tackled Jaden through a wall. Both the worm and Jaden had risen to their feet ready to fight. “This ends here!” Jaden had grabbed his Kunai and Stabbed the Worm as it charged him. This had caused the creature to explode.
