If you have a cooking recipe that you want to share with others... Please post it here! :D
Scotch Shortbread
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups All-Purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup Unsalted butter, softened
⅓ cup Granulated sugar
1 egg
Cooking Spray or Canola Oil
Baking Tools:
Medium bowl
Large bowl
Cookie sheet
Measuring cup
Measuring spoons or teaspoon
Cooking brush (if you're not using cooking spray)
Fork
Electric mixer or... if you don't have one handy you can use Wisk (to mix everything together)
Preheat oven to 350° F (if your stove is European 177° C)
Part I
1. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. (if you don't have a cooking spray lightly brush with canola oil)
2. Combine flour & salt in medium bowl.
3. Beat butter & sugar in large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed (or wisk) until light & fluffy.
4. Add egg to large bowl. Beat until well blended.
5. Take medium bowl with the flour & salt mixture. Gradually add mixture (add a little bit at a time, mix, & then repeat process). Beat at low speed (if you're using an electric mixer) until well blended.
Part II
1. Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
2. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.
3. Press with fork to flatten.
Part III
1. Bake 18 to 20 minutes. (I suggest 19 minutes) Until lightly brown.
2. Allow cookies to cool on cookie shhet for 2 minutes.
3. Eat & enjoy! :p
