So I got this wonderful Idea after watching THE LIVE finale the other day, and started to check out the older Anime shows of Cutie Honey. Obviously none of them have been finished (Expect New which has been licensed over here.) This might be a waste of a thread, but you know, here goes anyway.

'73 - The First Honey series on TV, and honestly I feel torn about it. It's good, but honestly, the whole aspect of Japanese Storytelling in Television in the '70s hurts my head (But that stumbling block is slowing be torn down). Honey seems much smarter and serious than her counterpart that we have seen in THE LIVE. Action and Animation is pretty good for the time of Production. Havn't seen too much of it yet, my opinion might change when I get further into the 25 episode series. Worst part for me is the stupid annoying Teachers. (Only on Episode two.)

Flash - The Shoujo version that took over Sailor Moon's timeslot when Stars finished it's run. Honestly, it's my favorite animated Version. Design problems with Seiji and Nat-chan aside, it's a surprising solid Cutie Honey project. Not too much to say about this right now, I going to wait and watch the subs whenever Spork pushes them out.

My main complant about both series is how backwards if feels for Panther Claw. It's like I'm going from a ruthless organzation that plays with people's lives without a care, to a gang of mutated, glorifed jewel thieves.

You actually forgot about the Re: Cutie Honey OVA that tied in with the movie, but since Spork no longer has their sub up (due to a rumored license) I don't blame you.

Haven't really seen much of the original '73 series save for the first three eps, so I really can't comment on them too much, other than I did find Seiji's brother to be a little on the grating side at times. I'll have to re-watch everything for a refresher, because last time I saw those three eps was around last May.

True, That's a good point. It tends to slip my mind cause of the "Same story as the movie" thing.

Yeah, Junpei is really really grating, I'm glad he really isn't seen in anything else.
