It's okay so far... average opening episode but I think the land-sea-air thing would work better with a three-man team instead of five unless they plan to have another water tribe Goseiger. I'll give it 9 more eps tops or just tune in when something interesting happens. The use of the changer and cards seem awkward... this is coming from someone who adored Digimon Tamers Ryuki and to some extent Blade. That might just be me though.

So any thoughts on Goseiger now that it's been subbed?

For Epic one I gotta say it wasn't mind blowing for a first episode just seemed like it was a standard episode but maybe more will be revealed over time. (at least that's what i'm hoping)

I did see the raw for Epic 2 and I gotta say I like Gosei Great the individual cockpits are pretty cool and of course Great's still looks like Daibouken but that's okay!

None the less I'm hoping for some story soon (that would be great...) but we shall see.

I'm kinda not feeling Goseiger at the moment. The sum of the parts just arn't equaling a really good show to me at the moment. Perhaps once we get out of set-up land and letting the writers just do things instead of setting up the status quo to begin with, the show will improve.

Though I really dislike using that plotline in epic one, really hurt my opinion of the show so far.

I didn't think it was anything spectacular, but I didn't hate it either. Like you guys have said, it was just sort of an average episode and it seemed like a lot was thrown into the end fight scene all at once. lol, they're all so young looking it's a little strange to me (not bad, just different). I'm used to seeing actors who look my age or older.

the first episode was kinda meh for me......not that great for a opening episode. I think the card gimmick will get old fast. Gosei Great looks cool IMO but I see a cluter-fuck suit coming down the pipes.......>_>.....

Also where there hang out place going to be? Every Sentai needs a hang out spot.

Only sentai I can think off that used the word "henshin" regularly in Sentai was Magiranger, but it was partnered off with Mahou. But I also gotta watch more older shit.

I watched the first episode and I guess it was alright. I don't really like the cast. Well, the blue one is cool.

This is the third season I have watched where sentai blue has water powers. Magiranger and Shinkenger are the only full seasons I have watched.

The series is starting to grow on me. GoseiBlue/Hyde seems the most competent,GoseiRed/Alata & GoseiPink/Eri aren't too bad either, but I kind of don't care much for the Landick Goseiger, especially GoseiYellow. It appears the hangout this year will be the boy's home/observatory which is a nice touch, although his dad resembles Professor Birch not only in how he looks but how he acts too. The snow battle in Epic 3 was nice too. We don't get much snow fights in toku... moar!

I watched episode two. Everything is good so far. I will say this, this may be the first time the land/earth character isn't my favorite. Kotoha and Makito are my favorites in their respective series so it's kind of startling that I don't like either one of the siblings.

Maybe they will win my heart like Chaiki(another earth-based character) did, it's too early to tell.

Just got caught up on the subs and so far I’m not impressed. I am glad that with Epic 3 they finally started to try and develop the characters a little, but I’m still not feeling that much for them, but .as it is Mone and Aguri are the only ones who seem to hold a mild interest for me.

It also seems as though Alata is not as annoying as he seemed to be in the first epic, that is good at least.

I’m still going to watch of course, but I seriously hope they develop the characters more and the quicker the better.

Lastly something tells me that the dad and his ignorance are either going to be rather funny or rather annoying. Right now I’m betting on annoying.

I think they need to separate the tribes. Well to put it exactly, the two air angels together gets annoying as hell with all that optimistic happiness and the landicks together too long is like watching too arrogant dicks(minus the lan) in action.

Maybe if red and black spent more time together instead of red and pink, it would be more tolerable. Pink isn't so annoying when she is with blue, yellow, or even black.

I guess what I am saying is, I am all for them separating into friend groups and forget tribe loyalty because it is annoying. I think that is why I like blue so much. He is alone. But I can just imagine if there was a female version of him looking all serious at everyone. *serious business gurl*

Aguri's protective big brother traits is forcing me to like him. I love big bros. :nod:

I honestly have to think Goseiger would have been better as a three team group. Hyde doesn't have anyone to really go off with like Alata/Eri Agri/Moune do. Anywho I'm trying to love the show I mean it's alright but it's not blazing to be a favorite.

Maybe it's just the way it started and it'll pick up in a few more episodes.

Three man group sounds a lot better than what we have now. Episode 3 was an improvement over the other two but not enough to say it will be one of my favorite series either.

Yeah, maybe a three man team to start at least would have made it a little better. Just have one member from each tribe and have them play off their differences would be more interesting than have the two members from the same tribe hanging out together leaving Hyde alone it might be more interesting. Pretty much what Tama-chan said a few post back.

Plus what I always liked about the times when we only start with three and introduce the other two and then finally ths sixth was that when you start with three we get those three characters fleshed out and we already know a lot about them before the new guys come along. Then once they show up we get the same thing on top of just how well they really fit in with the core three. Then of course the same with the sixth. This series is one of the ones that could have really benefitted from that. Now I’m not saying that the ones that start with all five don’t do that because they do, just look at Shinkenger, but some series just work better the other way.

Shinkenger is somewhat of a good example, but I think the best examples of starting with a five man team in recent years has been Dekaranger and Magiranger personally. Didn't take you long to find out the character archetypes and wanted to know how these personallites were going to get along.

I watched epic 4 and things seem to slightly improve as the episode count slowly grows. Having them all in the same place and not scattered really helped out a lot. You had Eri and Alata being all Happy Tree Friends but the other three characters being there to counteract it balanced things.

Hyde still seems to be crowded yet alone. Poor guy.

Eri's song was cute.

If the enemy is smart he will take note of what handicaps the team and then use it in the final battle!! :nod:

Man a part of me really wishes Alata and Eri were more Happy tree friends like, might actually make Goseiger more watchable.

But Admittly, it's getting there. And I'm more than willing to forgive a slow start than a lame finish. Shinkenger, I'm looking at you!

Just watched Epic 6 and they finally got the team dynamic thing to my taste. Alata, good job, kid.

They weren't annoying . . . YES! Hyde was even fitting in pretty good.

Posting my disbelief here too!

When I saw the first couple of episodes I really thought that I would HATE this season. The only character I liked was Hyde because he was alone and didn't have an annoying partner to make his character quirks double the annoyance. Separate the tribes and put them in situations with the other members of their team and the show because a lot more enjoyable.

But I decided to keep watching and I don't hate this season as a result. It is watchable but I don't believe it will be one of my favorites but that could change because I never thought that I would actually like this season.

My least favorite character is Moune which startles me because the earth/land characters are usually my favorites. Kotoha and Makito are my favorite characters within their respective series and I enjoyed Chiaki. Agri, I love his big brother tendencies but that is all he has. They need to take him off the back burner and let him shine.

The angels with cards concept is stupid but I can overlook it.

Grade: Watchable.

hmmm... Gosei Knight looks interesting in a Bull Black/Magna Defender kind of way, but I will hold judgement until I actually see him in action

Btw, Gosei Knight's mecha... Does anyone else think Voltron with that one..? Either way I like it's design, looks a bit like Voltron meets Gouraijer/Thunder Megazord (Ninja Storm) meets Magi King

GoseiGrand gives me a Great Ikarus vibe from Jetman. That design with the Egyptian-like crown makes me kind of giddy for some reason.

I really have to agree with this, which is odd considering for the first five to six episodes, I though Alata was going to be the weakest link in Goseiger, instead of the best damn thing about the show!

It's a nifty dynamic he has going on, he's the one that draws/drew the team together from the outdoing each tribe mentality, and while he had that thing with Dereputa, doesn't try to stand head and shoulders above the team like an infant (nor is the story all about making Alata the supreme macguffin of the year.)

Ok so that's pretty sick for a mecha form though the head's kinda tall and yeah I kinda hate there's another Header attack those things take forever to hit and return but still the Victory Charge kicked ass. And just cause Jayse and I both thought it when we saw it...

Heh, I knew that there was something Voltron-esque the moment we saw those Gosei Grand scans about a Month ago. Even the transformation is almost the same way

I agree with you on the Headder attack Justin, but that Headbut missiles of D00M victory charge finisher kicks ass

Also, looks like Sentai has officially done all that we know from Transformers, now that we have a Headmaster in the mecha XD

I mean look at Agito, his base form is Ground Form however it gets called Grand Form, so both basically work...

That and when saying both Ground and Grand in Japanese English, it sounds the same (Gurando, or something like that)

I kind of agree with Dan concerning the Super Miracle Headders sticking out on the chest shields, but other then that I must say...

That's pretty DAMN BADASS looking man... Also it looks like they all have a Headder port on their backs... Could this mean that the next batch of mecha that goes with the Super modes have them turn into Headders themselves like with Gosei Knight..? Or is it just something decorative...

Oh well, guess we'll find out next time

-The Gedoushuu manipulate ShinkenRed into attacking GoseiKnight. The under control ShinkenRed is known as "Gedou ShinkenRed".

-The New Sentai will appear in the film. The 35th Sentai will be the Decade-for-Sentai, and be a celebratory series. The series will feature the return of old Red Rangers, with the original actors returning, as much as possible.

Well, it hit the wall for me a few episodes back. The last one I saw was the one about Moune being tricked by the fairy into believing that her mother wanted her to come home. I plan to finish the series but is in no hurry to do so. I might get it done before the shinkenger/goseiger movie is dubbed.

What's this? Are we getting another one? Yes, yes we are! Tensou Sentai Goseiger will follow in Shinkenger's footsteps and be just the second series to have a video special produced after the series has ended. Tensou Sentai Goseiger Returns! LAST EPIC: The Gosei Angels are National Icons?! will be released June, 10th 2011 and serve as an epilogue to the series. It is a good time to be a fan.

The plot seems to revolve around the Goseiger being unable to use their Memorywash memory erase card on people, thus becoming national idols when it's discovered that they're heroes.

After seeing this: Mike>Chiaki. I REALLY wanted to jump through my monitor and stone cold stunner, or tombstone Chiaki when he pushed Alata. What a jackass!

I really enjoyed this movie. It was great seeing Kaoru again, even if it were only a few minutes. She dearly loves her sweet little boy. XD XD

And Takeru was just kickass but I wonder why the Goseigers did not pull out their ultimate forms until the end. Ha, ha maybe it is because we would have had no movie. They would have defeated Takeru.
