Well it premiered this morning and dear lord... The opening credits make me sad. WTF is up with the graphics during fights and poses now?! It's Batman all over again!

I was all happy to just see the show again with crisper picture quality but all that added crap was just unnecessary! That's all they should have done in my opinion... I hope when/if they release these on DVD they don't have this crap in.

Okay... Watched the episodes...

And seriously... What the HELL where they thinking with that 60's comic book graphics that they've thrown into it... Some scenes are either made to go faster or stuff are just left out completely... At least that is the feeling I get though...

But for the rest, I was afraid that it would have been a case of Disney raping MMPR, but ignoring those fucked up, dumbass graphics and some altered scenes, it was still good... It was good, brought back a lot of good, fun memories that I continue to cherish in my memory and heart when I first saw Mighty Morphing Power Rangers as a kid and I am glad that that feeling is still there with the episodes...

Not to mention the graphics used in High Five were for the most part better then in Day of the Dumpster... Apart from the BAM, POW, ZING stuff like in the 60's Batman series which they can do without...

Also, get rid of the name tags for which Zord belongs to who and what mode of the Megazord gets used... It is okay for the first episode so that little kids can memorize who has which, but not for the rest I mean come on... Stop threating kids like they are complete dumbasses Disney, they are not THAT stupid >_<'

As for that OP... While I am glad that it is the original score, the Opening video feels like a rather bad fan made video...

Music wise... As far as I could tell, I am glad that they kept the score intact along with the fight noises (which in Dino Thunder till I think Jungle Fury sounded like lasers or something whenever they jumped or kicked or punched and stuff like that) staying the same... So yeah... hopefully MMPR is what Disney needs in terms of money so that we can get new Sentai adaptions the year after... But we shall see what will happen...

Oh, almost forgot... The only time those comic book graphics works and are a lot of fun are when Bulk and Skull are up to their old tricks... Gods I missed those 2 morons a lot, they truly made the show back then and they still do it these days... Along with of course the action and the Megazord action

Oh how i missed Skull's laugh. I agree, the only reason why the comic book effects work for them is because they are the commic relief of the show.

I would if I could but my ABC affiliate doesn't air it here so youtube or downloads would be my only option unless we get cable. But that won't be anytime soon. If I could though I'd simply leave the TV on during the show to boost the ratings. With the MMPR toys out I would love it if they can have it last into at least the second and third seasons so I can rack up some of those toys.

:abakill Wow, finally just watched it...I almost literally cried every time those awful comic book/Batman-ish effects came on. But I agree with Michel that the nostalgia got me. I'll keep watching simply because it brings back so many memories.

But seriously...The cheesy effects make me wonder if Disney's trying to turn the show into a comedy or something. I mean, looking back, you have to admit that the show was pretty lame to begin with. What with the sketchy acting and too-fast-moving storyline in the first ep, not to mention the graphics and the sound effects, the show was really lame lol. It was great at the time, and I'm glad I watched it then because it was fun, it fueled the imagination, it gave me heroes to look up to, and who knows where I'd be today if I hadn't started watching again? Certainly I'd never have met any of you guys.

It's pretty lame if you look back now. At the time, sure, it was great. But now...Well, we never watched it for the superb acting, graphics, and storyline anyways, right? lol

I wish Disney wasn't being so stupid in what they're doing to our childhood heroes, but part of me hopes that they'll see the negative feedback it's getting from real fans and get rid of all the cheesiness in future episodes. If not, well, at least hopefully the toys will sell well. :abakill

I agree with you all, it is so horrid, and here I made my 7 nephew sit down and watch this just to be like I watched this growing up.... I was shocked at the bad outlined images to make the stop frames and the crazy colors.... ooooo

I believe that there's some MMPR DVDs that were released in Germany with English audio as an option. As where to find those however probably would require some interweb searches at places like ebay and such. Unless if you got a computer/laptop with a DVD drive you don't mind converting... a German region DVD player... or a universal/region-free player... the options of viewing these DVDs are minimal.

I agree with you 100%. At least let some of the toy productions be decent. I still want a morpher. But i do agree, it is crap. Disney should have never taken over PR in the first place. Bring back Saban!!!!!!

That's a bit extreme. I liked Dino Thunder, SPD, and RPM. If Wild force would have been the last PR season, I shudder to think what they would have put in its place. I agree Saban did a better job with Power Rangers, I really do.

However, and this is a big point, Disney didn't do a bad job overall. They just chose the wrong people to run the show (Kalish, I'm aiming at you). Ninja Storm and Mystic Force weren't that bad of shows, BTW, They were just not good adaptations of the source material... and Don't get me started on operation OverFail and Jungle Failure.

But back on topic, I really doubt I'll be watching any of this remastered crap.

The new backgrounds are still annoying but not as much as when it first started. The words on the middle of the screen are still annoying though those need to go Of course I’d still rather have the original version that I grew up with.

Besides that though it has been interesting to re-watch the classics, there are even some episodes that I forgot about.

I'm also reminded as to how annoying Kimberly really is.

Kim has always been annoying. Every time i watch an original episode, i am reminded. Of course, i am also reminded about Jason, *sigh*, and how hot he was. He was what kept me into Power Rangers. He was also the one i fell into the Christmas tree over when i was little because i liked him so much.
