Tensō Sentai Goseiger Pre-Discussion thread

It's that time of the year where Sentai rumors are either confirmed or shot down, as information starts to come to us.


In fact, we got the suit images:

Pretty Retro/Spiffy in my eye.

Some more information people have translated from this:

Names and weapon
Red - Arata (Skyick Sword)
Black - Aguri (Landick Axe)
Blue - Haido (Seaick Bowgun)
Pink - Eri (Skyick Shot)
Yellow - Mone (Landick Claw)

-Goseiger is going with the celestial motif. The pamphlet describes them as Guardian angels wielding Gosei power.

-Their enemy is the Warstar Army.

Goseired/Arata - Skyic power wielder. Dragon motif. The optimistic and independent one.

Goseiblack/Agri - Landic power wielder. Snake motif. He tries to play cool but is hot-blooded in nature. Older brother to Goseiyellow/Mone.

Goseiblue/Hydo - Seaic power wielder. Shark motif. The oldest and wisest of the five.

Goseipink/Eri - Skyic power wielder. Phoenix motif. A childhood friend of Arata, and is also optimistic about life. The maternal figure of the group.

Goseiyellow/Mone - Landic power wielder. Tiger motif. Youngest yet the most frank and mature one. Cares dearly of her older brother and tends to do combo attacks with him in battle.

But man, talk about very old school designs for toku, I mean first with Daburu and now for Goseiger... Man these suits and weapons looks well... AWESOME!!!

Hmm... upon closer look, the tips/barrels of their side arms are shaped like their animals, nice and ooohhhh... Black and Yellow are siblings..? Well this should be interesting to see

Anyways, these suits reminds me of Dynaman with a hint of Zyuranger and Changeman added into the mix... Not to mention I like the way their visors are styled... Very sweet looking

Goseiger Toy Descriptions

DX Tensou Gattai GoseiGreat:
Releases in- February
Price- 7,500 yen
Info-
GoseiDragon, GoseiSnake, GoseiShark, GoseiPhoenix and GoseiTiger unite! Each animal's GoseiHeader can be seperated from its body, and along with being attached to other toys in the set, 3 power up headers for each tribe (Skykku, Landic and Seakku) are being released with the first wave that can be swapped to change the GoseiMachines' heads. These will act like the gattai series for Goseiger. The heads are swapped out for the mecha that belongs to that tribe.

The composition of GoseiGreat is thus (the animals really are machine-types ala Liveman, Hurricanger etc.)

GoseiDragon- A dragon-bomber jet which forms the head, body, and shoulders

GoseiShark- A shark-submarine that forms the left arm and hand.

GoseiPhoenix- A phoenix-jet that forms the right arm and hand.

GoseiSnake- A Snake-Shinkansen that forms the left leg, waist, and right thigh of the robot. The snake head is the foot.

GoseiTiger- A Tiger-Tank that forms the right leg. The tiger head is the foot.


There are a total of 17 GoseiHeader joints on GoseiGreat. Take that as you will. Whereas the rangers will use the cards to summon the Machines, the robo series is fairly unrelated to the cards, with the Headers taking over. The rest of the toyline is totally dedicated to the card system.





Seakku Brother Set:
Releases in- February
Price- 2,200 yen
Info-

A set of GoseiHeaders which includes the MantaHeader, HammerHeader, and NokogiriHeader. (Sawfish) The heads can be swapped out for GoseiShark's. Nokogiri's saw can spin.

GoseiGreat can combine with the 3 Seakku headers to become "Seakku GoseiGreat", where the Hammer and Sawfish attach to GoseiGreat's hands, and MantaHeader forms a new head, with a shark-based design, resembling CaptainShark.




Randic Brother Set:
Releases in- March
Price- 2,200 yen
Info-

A set of GoseiHeaders including the StagHeader, TyrannoHeader, and DigHeader (possibly a mole), that can be swapped with either GoseiSnake and GoseiTiger. StagHeader belongs to GoseiSnake, as does Tyranno (orange in color). DigHeader which is yellow, belongs to Tiger.

GoseiGreat can combine with these headers to become "Landic GoseiGreat". Stag forms the new head, while Tyranno and Dig swap out with Snake and Tiger to become feet. The SnakeHeader and TigerHeader are then rejoined at the knees.




Skykku Brother Set:
Releases in- April
Price- 2,200 yen
Info-

A set of GoseiHeaders including EagleHeader, PteraHeader and an unknown bird, that can be swapped with GoseiDragon and GoseiPhoenix.

GoseiGreat can unite with these 3 headers to form Skykku GoseiGreat. Here, the 3 headers unite into a giant crown-n-shoulder cannons, with the Ptera and other bird uniting on GoseiGreat's shoulder, and the Eagle making up the head.




Mascot Robo (Possibly Data Sypher):

Info- A Mascot Robo, probably Data Sypher, is coming out as well. It transforms from a Case, to it's Mascot Robo Form, and then to its real Robo Form. It comes with one GoseiHeader, and can possibly combine with GoseiGreat. If it is DataSypher it seems to be able to read all the Dice Oh cards.

Gah I feel like I'm Jayse's Yesman anymore >_>. Anyways I can't wait to see this series course first I need to watch Go-onger and Shinkenger and yes I will watch Go-Onger...eventually XD.

DataSypher is the Mascot/2nd Robo!

Mascot Robo that transforms from a DCD Case to Mascot Robo to Combat Robo. Can also combine with GoseiGreat. The united form resembles Buster Ohranger Robo. Comes with 1 GoseiHeader (Data Sypher)

Furthermore, the 15 existing GoseiHeaders can be utilized by the combined Sypher/GoseiGreat in its finishing move. Not sure if the 15 are on the formation to start out with, or if they join to perform the finisher.



Tensouder Info:

The Tensouder is shaped like a Moai head. It can be worn like a bracelet, and resembles the DragVisor of Ryuki. However, it seems to be adjoined to the hip when not in used. Activates the Gosei cards.

Is it just me or does Yellow remind you a lot of BoukenYellow?

I'm not getting that much of a vibe, but I guess I can see where someone could draw that conclusion, especially with that uniform color scheme and the pose that she is holding, with the changer in a position like how we first saw the actors for Boukenger holding their changers.

It's basically just the mask. It looks a lot like BoukenYellow to me.

The visor looks a bit similar too... Now that we got a bigger scan I can see some similarities of how these suits look to the older ones like a mix of Dynaman, Liveman, and Dai Ranger and some Choseishin in there as well. As said with other series I'll hold judgement until I see the suits in motion. Although I'm getting a bit tired of the animal motifs... this what the fourth year in a row? Gekiranger, Go-onger, Shinkenger, and now Goseiger?

Heh, I am more then just another "pretty face" on this board...

Although I kind of wished that Bandai of Japan added some extra articulation in the DX GoseiGreat... I mean looking at it, despite being well blocks, there is more then enough space for elbow and knee articulation (and maybe a ball joint of sorts to make the legs move)... I mean they done that for both DX GaoKing (elbow joints) and DX DaiBouken (legs mostly) so why not use it for on DX GoseiGreat consider that they have the technology for it now
