Since the release of 'In Love And Death' in 2004, it's abundendly clear that The Used has done a lot of growing musically. Although they released two albums since then (before the late summer release of Artwork), this album has taken a few direction from their old sound. They have merged into a new genre of music that they refer to as 'gross pop'

The album opens with their first single 'Blood On My Hands', which proves right off the bat that they're no longer the same band. Out of the 11 tracks on the CD, there is literally not one bad song. This album has received rave reviews across the board, and proves that The Used is not just 'another screamo band'; they're here to stay. The song 'Meant To Die' is loosely based on the death of actor Heath Ledger, and not being able to say 'sorry' or 'I never meant to die' after an accidental death.
