From the November Issue of GameInformer Magazine:

"Mickey Mouse was the biggest star in the world. In the 1930's, nearly everyone recognized the rounded ears and cheerful countenance of Walt Disney's favorite creation. The little cartoon hero was a reminder of simpler fun, childlike mischief, and clever humor in an era of unbearable economic depression. In the years that followed, he remained rooted in the public conciousness, starring in movies and comics, and becoming the face of one of the biggest entertainment organizations in history.

It's easy to forget that Mickey was not Walt Disney's first iconic cartoon character --- that Mickey had an older brother who never got his chance at the limelight. Oswald the Lucky Rabbit didn't turn out to be so lucky after all. Sprung from Disney's imagination before Mickey ever existed, Oswald was lost to the company over a petty dispute, and slowly forgotten by the public as the decades passed. As Mickey Mouse soared into popularity, Oswald slipped further away into a wasteland of forgotten cartoon icons.....Until Now."

*Please note that all information below comes from GameInformer magazine, and is simply paraphased in my own words.*

INTRODUCTION

Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to a Disney game the likes of which you have never seen! GPR here, with breaking news about an awesome new game exclusivley for Nintendo Wii!! The story above is entirley true as can be researched online and in the history books. Disney did create Oswald the Lucky Rabbit but he was lost to Universal Studios over a contract dispute and so when Walt Disney founded his own studio, he needed a new lead character, and thus Mickey Mouse was born. This game is what might have happened in the animated world based on these events.

PLOT & CHARACTERS

In the game, Oswald has been banished to the wasteland of forgotten icons for decades and has grown bitter and jealous of his younger brother Mickey. He seeks to replicate what Mickey has become the star he never was. However, even Oswald is part of the plot of the evil Phantom Blot, one of Mickey's oldest villains, who has been appearing in his cartoons since 1939. Also appearing are The Mad Doctor (from the cartoon of the same name, and a number of others from the early 30's), and several new characters including Gremlins, who can help Mickey on his quest, and the Mad Doctor's Beetleworx, which will try to stop Mickey on his quest. Oh, and of course no Mickey Mouse game would be complete without a battle or two against his arch-nemisis, Pete!

GAMEPLAY

This game is exclusivley for the Nintendo Wii and will make extensive use of the Wiimote as Mickey's magic paintbrush which he can use to add color to and fix things, overcome obstacles, erase walls, and a variety of other tasks. In addition to this, the game will be based around platforming as Mickey makes his way through the wasteland. Also, many of the settings seen in the game are based on famous attractions from Disney theme parks, where the game developers took thousands of pictures for reference.

TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY

One of the most unique features of this game is the abillity to choose how Mickey accomplishes his tasks in the game, and these choices will effect further game play. Mickey can choose to do the right things such as help trapped gremlins, being kind to those in the wasteland, and making good descisions. This will result in Mickey's gloves slowly turning a golden color, his clothes shining, head held high, looking every bit The Hero. Now here's the good part, something Disney antagnoists will love. The other option is to simply do whatever you want, not care about surrounding creatures of buildings, focus on benefiting yourself, destroy stuff by erasing it from existance, and just generally go wild. This will resulting in Mickey's clothes fading, his gloves becoming pale white and his shoes scuffed looking. he will take on a different posture, gain smaller beadier eyes, and a definitive scowl as well, making him decidley more Ratlike, becoming The Scrapper. Of course you can also vary these types of descisions back and forth for a balance, but as I said, these choices effect the gameplay, such as how to get to the next area.

CONCLUSION

In conslusion, I think you'll agree that this game looks Awesome!! It makes me wish I had a Wii on which to play it, but sadly I don't. However, if it ever gets ported to another system, I will totally be there. Anyway, here is the information you really need:
