We all know by now that Tokusatsu Fusion has died on it's arse so now Jayse has taken the liberty to take drastic action and completely re-image the board (again) along with a new name change.

So that means that Tokusatsu Fusion is no more :escape:

You may have noticed by now the surge of members coming though this forum in the last two hours...or something like that as I have lost count on how many has come though anyway.

A few members will be advertising this place like crazy which means that we will have to be extra nice from now on :D

Let me introduce the following members onto Staff (constantly changing...maybe?)...

Actually, it's kinda funny... most of the major PR boards have had "Ranger" as part of their name and gotten a great influx compared to when they DIDN'T have "Ranger" as part of the name...
It's kinda like that's a keyword for folks using search engines for boards to join...

In truth, to be fair, if the name change doesn't work, as Ring Slinger believes that it won't, we can always go back to being Tokusatsu-Fusion. But I will warn you... I am only here as part of the Make-Over team. If TF returns, I will delete myself and not return. I was on the old TF before the crash and most of the members then were pretty hateful people. No offense to Jaysen, mainly because he simply can't be everywhere at once, those members seemed to be clones of Ranger Board members... but in RB's defense, these member were far worse. So after the big crash, I chose not to rejoin. And I stayed gone until this Make-Over project came up and I was asked to help out. I am here for that and that alone. I run my own board and truth be told, even though we're small there, we had just gone through the same thing as Jaysen had here. We were Fiveman Forums for about a year and no one would join. I couldn't even find my board doing a search engine search. Therefore, a name change was necessary. And since that change... we've had at least 5 more people join and more are coming.

The alternative to a name change was the closing of the board. Jaysen tried a whole BUNCH of other alternatives to get the board both popular and active, and while he admits that these things worked temporarily, after a month or two, inactivity would return and the place would go nearly dead. So when our team was meeting and he was at the meeting, and he heard that we were planning to get a Vbulletin Board and make do with the next project, he offered Tokusatsu-Fusion itself as the project board. He's the owner, so it was his decision.

Therefore, if this Make-Over works out, you will see new members coming in, slowly at first, but they will come.

Also with the search engine as I was just telling someone today... unless the word Tokusatsu appears in the TV show you are watching, then the fan won't know to type in that word into the search engine. He will type Ranger or Rider or Superhero. He will use the words that get shown on TV with the series.

And be honest... before you ever heard of the word Tokusatsu... would you have ever thought to write that word in a search engine when looking for Riders or Rangers?

Therefore, the name change is just one more little attempt to attract the attention of the fans and the search engines so they come to this board and not someone else's.

I can personally understand both people here actually...

With Ring Slinger I can understand due to TF being renamed into Otaku Fusion last year which did this place more harm then good, however I can also understand where Plunder Bunny is coming from and I do agree that a change is well needed; I mean sure this place had its ups and downs concerning activity and people joining, but it was more of downs then ups, and besides... To me, TF is a bit broken, so a change to fix as much of the damage possible is actually needed..

So yeah, guess what I am trying to say is that the possibility of becoming TF is there, but let's try Ranger Zone for now (simply for the fact that Ranger IS a much looked word to the whole fandom community)... That, and I for 1 am very hopeful that this will work

Oh PB, I wish to apologice for being an asshole back before the big crash, I only wanted what was best for the place, but the way I did it was wrong and for that I am deeply sorry, however I have changed slowly over time (ask around) and once again, welcome (back) to RZ

I know most of us had an affinity for the Tokusatsu Fusion name but while it's name is gone it's US that make the board. Ranger Zone is the next step in our chapter if I didn't believe this wouldn't work I wouldn't have tried it.

Remember when PRN became R-P? It shows that it's only a name. members still stayed and even new ones joined. That's the hope I have for Ranger Zone.

It's not gonna be like when it was Otaku Fusion this is something else.

What i'm trying to say in a nut shell just because the name changes doesn't mean it's not for the better. I ask everyone to trust in us to make it work.

A name is a name. I can dig, while I personally don't that particularly fond of this new name, it's still just a name and such. Time will soften the blow.

The issue with Otaku Fusion wasn't really the name, it was the relation to a extremely blatant ripoff site that was made because the guy didn't have things go his way.

i will always have a place in my heart for TF but if we can get more active members with the new name i am all for it it makes my day when i get home and the chit chat thread is 3 to 6 pages since i last checked on it. and if you need any help jayse i am more then willing because this is my main board i post on.

Eh, The one gripe i have about the name-change is just that. I LIKED Tokusatsu Fusion. It was a catchy name, and it was easy for me to remember.

Now, If Ranger Zone brings in more members, then that's great. I'm in agreement with Boke: It's always a great thing to see a highly visited thread explode in posts.

And if you need any help with advertising and stuff, I know a few places where most people wouldn't think to find links for a Toku forum. :D Here's hoping that RZ works out :headbang:
