Gekiranger VS Boukenger - Discussion Thread

I'm so excited to see Gekiranger again and I'm not too excited to see Boukenger. From what I've seen the trailer, it looks good tho.

So far, I watched the whole 49 episodes and movie. One more left and then Gekiranger COMPLETE! :D

SUUUUUUUUUUUPER REEEEEEVIEW TIME! Starts now...

It was one of the better 'vs' that I've saw. Definetly better than Magi vs Deka. Only things I didn't really enjoy was the lack of Siren Builder, Shizka's cameo being bloody pointless, that RinJyuKen monster that fought DaiVoyager (btw, DaiVoyager being in RinJyuDen = BADASS!), and the slip up that when Sakura got overtaken at the start, her aAccellular flew off her and she de-henshined, but in the flashback, when Akashi found her, he didn't just find Sakura overtaken, but he found BoukenPink overtaken.

But yeah, fantastic team up. And this leaves me with this thing to say.

While I honestly hate Boukenger, but holy shit... the team up was awesome. Best. Team. Up. Ever. And also, I was NOT happy to see Ultimate DaiBouken. Geez, I hate that mecha with my burning passion.

Gosh, Masumi needs to die slowly and painfully. That made me pissed off when I see him.

Thanks goodness. That's the last time I see Boukenger, finally.

Ya know...Given how badly OO sucked, I gotta say I love Boukenger. I'm half watching Geki as I watch JF so I can't really talk there, however I loved the hell outta the team up movie. Great stuff all around.

Comments on Gekiranger vs. Boukenger

- Why in God's name would Souta want Shizuka for a bride? I know it's meant to be funny but still.... he could do better.
- Hah! They said, "Warrior who never should have met, now unexpectedly meet and change!" there admitting this ain't canon or in continuity or whatever.
- Man, Toei was really miss Abaranger since they keep referencing Dino Curry in these team-ups.
- So... Akashi is aware of RinJyuDen, eh?
- Man, Baakaa has got to be the most impressive weirdest MotD I've seen.
- Man, that "Bouken" scene was cheesy as hell. I mean, I get the message they are trying to say and all but, it was soo cheesy.
- Blech, more Boukenger cheesiness.
- Hey, it's New Zealand!
- Eh, I've seen better team-up battles.
- Hey they mention Miyuu. Cool.
- Did anybody else notice that despite being in Super Geki, Retsu was wearing his regular GekiBlue helmet?

- Yep, Ultimate DaiBouken still can't fight worth a darn.

- So, the Boukengers are going to learn GekiJyuken eh?

- You know, I kinda wish Shizuka had some bigger role in this movie. Or Gekkou get some lines.

Overall, I give this a 4/5. Despite how much I can't stand Boukenger for the life of me, I will admit... that this is the best damn team-up since Hurri vs. Gao. The only thing keeping this from a 5/5 was the cheesiness and Shizuka being use as a plot device.
