yeah Cartoon Network has really droped the ball when it comes to anime........GIVE US THE OLD SCHOOL TOONAMI BACK!!!!!!!!!!!

so like I said in the What Anime r u watching thread.

I really feel like dubbed anime is dying here in America, and it's sad because it used to be really good. Now all we get are these generic animes with poor voice acting. Now don't get me wrong there not all bad but it's the ones that make it on TV and they suck that pisses me off >_<'

Also these TV station and there no violence animes....WTF!!!! there were so many animes last year that they could have air but didn't because of "violence" of "fan service". Now granted CN should not show fan service but why can't Adult Swim or Sci Fi ?!?!?!?! those are "adult" time slot and channels.

also these american anime companys only fouces on one thing I'm talking about you shonen jump!!! They think thats all we want to see. Well that would be nice if they could keep up with new episodes!!!!

Also now Stores arn't selling anime?!?!?! Best Buy has gotten rid of all there in store anime and major books sotors are down sizing there manga section.

Now I've heard it's because anime DVD sells are low do to FanSubbers......now IMO thats bullshit! I watch the Fansubs yes but if it's a anime I really want I'll buy it (GUNDAM 00 on BLU-RAY)

well now I'm just ranting.......so what does everyone else think?

Yes I do have to agree that the American market did drop the ball. No it's not fan subbers fault. I'm gonna go with this:

The fact is no one's showing quality anime any more, toonami was the staple for anime and now it's gone. When we had Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Gundam, ect... That's what drove people to buy the shows on DVD. With the anime block gone how are people going to know what anime are out there?

Should Cartoon Network bring back an anime block or even another network bring QUALITY anime in the form of a GOOD DUB (Naruto i'm looking at you) then yes DVD sale would go up but till then it's not going to change.

But Funimation has really picked up the ball in other areas, that honestly includes subbing and posting those subs to streaming sites in such a nice brisk pace for some of these newer shows that it really shows they are well, fighting and destroying fansubbers to begin with.

I honestly don't know who to blame. If I could pinpoint a group . . . I pick Soccer Moms. I think Naruto Shippuden will eventually suffer the fate of Yu Yu Hakusho if and when it starts to air on Cartoon Network. It will suddenly be dropped to the graveyard shift of 5:30 a.m. It will be considered to violent for youngsters by Soccer Mom when she will make her presence known by the Network.

SM: This show is making the son/daughter I am not raising violent. The world is evil because of violent cartoons.

I think the only hope Naruto Shippuden has, is if they put it on Adult Swim.

I totally agree!

People that say cartoons are to violent are one of the reason they censore cartoons so much. It kills me to see these once great anime's get butchered ;_; but what are you going to do? The FCC really over react to the smallest bit of blood or violence.......or sex.....

If these moms or dads think it's that bad then heres a option change the channel or turn off the TV it's that simple.

i do miss all the good anime shows back in the day...they were awesome!! i only get to watch some shows on adultswim on sat, but it's so late at night i never get to watch all of it mainly b/c i have work in the morning...they air all the anime from 1 am to 5 am...and yeah, whose gonna stay up and watch all of that?? tho i would love to, i can't...i get tired...they should maybe push it earlier...like they did before...they used to have bleach on at 11 and now it comes on at 1...gah, i sometimes have to force my self to stay awake just to watch it!

plus, they don't air any good anime...just the same one's i've seen a gazillion times! i would love to watch Gundam 00 again since i didn't see all of it! espeically s2. i miss my Lockon! ;_; >_> _<
